Back in 2010, I left Cardiff University with a BA degree in Journalism, Film and Media and an insatiable desire to write about food. With no plans to leave Cardiff just yet, I began blogging about the Welsh food and drink scene, focusing mainly upon South Wales.

Fast forward to 2015 and The Rare Welsh Bit had grown to become a popular food blog in South Wales, enabling me to build my profile as a writer, meet lots of like-minded people and eat way too much food for my own good.

Meanwhile, having spent three months in Jamaica in 2014, I’d well and truly caught the travel bug and couldn’t wait to start writing about the different foods I’d eaten and the places I’d visited on my travels.

So, in March 2015 I began posting about my travel experiences, as well as what I’d been eating. I have written about Jamaica and featured a guest post on things to do in Rome. In 2016, I will be visiting India in November and I will also be enjoying a short break somewhere sunny in July, although I haven’t yet decided where I’ll be going yet!
