This Tuesday, a crowd of 200 doughnut-fans descended upon St. David’s shopping centre, Cardiff, for the launch of the eagerly-awaited Krispy Kreme Coffee Bar.
“I am a huge Krispy Kreme fan and I am so excited that they have made their way to Cardiff,” she said. “My favourite is the Chocolate Dreamcake – and Original Glazed of course – so I cannot wait to take a dozen back to the office and share with friends and colleagues. I will be very popular!”Equally as excited was Dhana Caple, 38, from Llantrisant.
There are 16 mouthwatering varieties of doughnut, including the Chocolate Dreamcake, Raspberry Glazed and Chocolate Sprinkles, elegantly presented in the iconic dotty box. Accompanied by Krispy Kreme’s unique range of coffee, made fresh from the bean, the St. David’s Krispy Kreme Coffee Bar has something for everyone.
A Single Original Glazed doughnut costs £1.20. A Single Filled doughnut costs from £1.45. An Original Glazed Dozen costs from £7.95, a Classic Assorted Dozen (a selection of our 12 best-sellers) costs £9.45 and Your Favourites Assorted Dozen (your selection from any of our range) costs £9.95.
Speaking of the success of the opening day, store manager Michael Dewey said,
“The fantastic turnout today is the exact reason why we were so keen to come to Cardiff. The support of the local community has been amazing and we are so glad we are finally here, ready and raring to go. The new team are eager to get started and we look forward to welcoming Cardiff shoppers to our new store to try our delicious range of doughnuts and coffee.”
His thoughts were shared by Katie de Souza, Krispy Kreme’s head of marketing, who stated,
“Cardiff is a great city and St. David’s is a unique and vibrant shopping destination which made it the perfect location for Krispy Kreme. We have received lots of requests from people asking when Krispy Kreme will be coming to them, so Cardiff was an obvious next step for us and we are very excited to be opening there.”
