Recently, I was delighted to be named one of dotcomfgiftshop’s 20 Tasty Foodie Blogs alongside some of my favourite food bloggers including Lavender and Lovage, Kellie’s Food to Glow, and Eat Like a Girl.
To say well done and because it’s Christmas, dotcomgiftshop sent me a £30 voucher to spend on their website as well as a recipe tin in one of their favourite designs.
Dotcomgiftshop is an online gift shop selling a range of gifts spanning occasions,
Pictured below, the blue tit recipe tin features colourful sketches of birds and flowers and currently retails at £.9.95. Inside, it has dividers that you can use to organise your recipes. If, like me, you have a drawer in your kitchen stuffed full of recipe clippings, then this is for you!
For some time now I’ve been trying to improve the quality of the photos on my blog, particularly when I take photos of dishes that I cook myself at home. With this in mind, I spent my £30 dotcomgiftshop voucher on two pretty plates and a small bowl.
The Oviedo design stoneware plate is hand-painted with geometric flowers in different shades of green, making for an eye-catching addition to any dining table.
The Cordoba design stoneware plate is covered in a pattern of yellow and pink circles, surrounded by chains of flowers. The white dots on the circles are slightly raised and you can feel them with your hands, making this plate that extra bit special!
I absolutely love my new plates, although I must admit that I’m a little disappointed about their size. At £12.95 each I just assumed they would be dinner plates, but they only measure 20cm in diameter and more closely resemble side plates. However, this is stated in the product description on the website, which also describes them as ‘breakfast plates’, so I should’ve taken more notice of this before ordering them really.
Alongside the plates, I ordered this green ceramic flamenco bowl (£4.95). Also a part of dotcomgiftshop’s moorish stoneware range, the bowl is green with a dark purple flower pattern inside. The design is really striking and it’s the perfect size for tapas or dipping sauces (11.5cm in diameter).
I’m really enjoying using my new tableware and I can already notice an improvement in the photos I take of food I eat at home. To see my new plates in action, check out my review of Deliveroo’s premium restaurant delivery service, featuring food ordered from Gourmet Burger Kitchen.

dotcomgiftshop sent me a recipe tin and £30 voucher to spend on their website, which I used to buy the tableware featured in this blog post. However, I was not obliged to review any of these items.
