How to make your own Baileys Hot Chocolate this Christmas

Baileys. This thick, creamy Irish liquer needs no introduction. It’s not really Christmas until I’ve knocked back at least a couple of these over ice.

However, this festive tipple is actually just as tasty to use as an ingredient in Christmas baking, and in hot drinks. To mark Christmas this year, top London baker, Lily Vanilli, has teamed up with Baileys to come up with some Christmas dessert hacks and recipes, all created using the festive tipple of choice.

The list of recipes includes indulgent recipes like Baileys Christmas fudge and Baileys salted caramel chocolate cake (both of which would make for lovely homemade gifts), alongside quick fixes like coffee-chai ice cubes and Baileys hot chocolate.

I had a go at making Baileys Hot Chocolate using the below recipe. The balance of Baileys to milk was spot on, making for a warming festive treat with a tasty kick. This would be the perfect complement for Lily’s fudge or chocolate cake. So, this Christmas, think beyond pouring Baileys over ice and get creative in the kitchen with Lily’s festive Baileys recipes.
