What better way to spend the weekend than by munching on whole-souled comfort food at your favourite brunch spot? Well, by doing it with unlimited bubbles or cocktails thrown into the mix, of course! Originally started in Manhattan, the bottomless brunch trend has been gaining momentum in the UK over the past five years or so and Cardiff has been no exception to this rule. Wherever you are these days, it seems you’re never far from somewhere serving bottomless brunch in Cardiff. So, with so many options to choose from, how do you know which one is best?
Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion like a birthday, looking for the perfect spot to guzzle Prosecco and eat brunch on a Cardiff hen weekend or stag weekend, or simply fancy a catch-up with friends over a glass of bubbly, here are some of my favourite options for bottomless brunch in Cardiff.

Where to find the best bottomless brunch in Cardiff
R.P. Culley & Co at The Exchange Hotel
With a starter, a main and free-flowing Prosecco for up to 90 minutes for £30 (£20 without Prosecco), R.P. Culley and Co. at The Exchange Hotel doesn’t offer the cheapest bottomless brunch in Cardiff, but if you’re looking for a touch of class, you can’t go wrong here.
Step inside the beautiful building that was once Cardiff’s famous 19th Century Coal Exchange, now fully restored but with plenty of original character still left intact.

Once you’ve finished marvelling at the decor, take a peek at the menu. Mains include mouth-watering choices using locally sourced produce, ranging from traditional brunch dishes like full Welsh breakfast and Eggs Benedict or Florentine, to fish and chips and Cefn Mawr beef burger.

If you can find room for dessert afterwards, choose from the likes of sticky toffee pudding, lemon tart or bara brith bread and butter pudding.

Grey Restaurant at Hilton Cardiff
The first ever establishment to introduce bottomless brunch to Cardiff back in 2016, the Hilton Hotel’s in-house restaurant, Grey (also open to guests) offers one of the most highly-rated bottomless brunches in Cardiff.

For a glorious 90 minutes, you and your party can enjoy two courses of delectable Welsh and international classics, from traditional Welsh rarebit bronzed under a hot grill and full Welsh (or vegan) breakfast, to Cefn Mawr Farm beef burger and tempeh and chickpea shakshuka.

The Prosecco keeps flowing through to the second course, where you can sate your taste buds with sweet treats like sticky toffee pudding and Eton Mess ice cream.

Bottomless brunch at Grey is served from 11am until 5pm from Sunday to Friday at a cost of £28.50 p. p. and from 11am until 4pm on Saturdays at a cost of £30.50 p.p.

The Alchemist
Enjoy a taste of the Mediterranean in Cardiff with The Alchemist’s Bottomless Balearics Brunch! For £25 p.p., you can order any dish from the brunch menu along with three drinks from a choice of Rose Sangria, Aperol Spritz, Citrus G&T (with pink grapefruit) or Supersonic G&T (with cassis, blackberry and mint). Alternatively, make it bottomless for £10 p.p. extra (a total of £35 p.p.).

Indulge in traditional British brunch classics like the Full Alchemist or veggie breakfast and Eggs Benedict, or American classics like bacon and egg-topped waffles and breakfast burritos.

Pieminister
For bottomless brunch on a budget, head to Pieminister. £20 gets you as many glasses of Prosecco, Bloody Marys, Aperol Spritzes and Mimosas as you can drink in 90 minutes, as well as a scrumptious shortcrust pie made using fresh, local ingredients in nearby Bristol, where Pieminister’s HQ is based.

We loved the Morning Glory pie, filled with free range bacon and sausage in cheesy béchamel sauce with baked egg, served with a small boat of smoky baked beans. Alternatively, opt for the red onion and rosemary veggie or vegan sausage pie or give the baked bean, halloumi and egg skillet a go. All pies are served with crunchy garlic potatoes, crispy kale and vine tomatoes.

If you’re looking for a traditional bottomless brunch in slightly classier surroundings, you might want to consider going elsewhere. However, if you’re heading into Cardiff for a day of socialising with friends and plan on visiting a few bars and grabbing a bite to eat, at £20, you may as well treat yourself to bottomless brunch at Pieminister; it’s a no-brainer! Be sure to book in advance as Pieminister only serves bottomless brunch on selected Saturdays and Sundays – please check the website at the below address for further details!

Visited Le Monde for brunch recently. It’s a great idea, but there were issues.
– Most of the staff couldn’t have been friendlier, but were rushed off their feet, so there was a lot of waiting between courses, and we had to make repeated attempts to get their attention for refills.
– One staff member simply blanked us, by pretending not to see or hear my dining companion when she asked for another round of soft drinks, even though he was looking directly at her.
– The deal attracted a few large groups who were aiming to get the most of the bottomless prosecco, which didn’t make for a great dining experience for those of us just out to have a nice meal. These large groups demanded a lot of attention from the servers, leaving the more sedate diners to be ignored. I don’t blame them getting their money’s worth, but as the groups got more and more drunk, the atmosphere became more than raucous. In one group, a woman overfilled her mouth with her dessert, then regurgitated it onto her plate, which she and the other women on her table seemed to think was hilarious entertainment, so she did it a few more times. I have a strong stomach, thanks to my career, but that nearly took me to my limit.
– The food was hit & miss. I rarely add seasoning to any meal when I eat out. At most, I’ll add a little black pepper if there is an egg on my dish. I don’t even put salt on chips. However, two of the courses we were served at Le Monde were so bland & underseasoned, I had to ask for a salt cellar.
I think I’ll take up some of your suggestions that provide great food, but without the unlimited drinks. That way hopefully we’ll avoid the worst excesses.
Oh gosh, that sounds like a nightmare. The girl who spat her dessert out (and then did it again!) sounds like an absolute nightmare. Sorry to hear that you had a bad experience. You might want to look into Caffi Sio in Cardiff Bay, who are offering a bottomless Prosecco afternoon tea. They are based in Cardiff Bay and it’s a lovely, quirky ‘culture cafe’. I don’t think they’d accept such raucous behaviour, which is why I chose not to feature them in my post.
Ooh, allll the food!!
These places look great! I don’t visit Cardiff often but I’ll be sure to look back on this for great places to brunch, next time 🙂
Cardiff is great for dining out in general; I’m sure you won’t be disappointed 🙂
These all sound good to me, I love bottomless brunch! One of my favorite bands considers Cardiff home, it’s nice to know if I ever get there I’ll have options for yummy brunch.
Aww yeah Cardiff has a good music scene, I know of a few bands from the local area too. Brunch in Cardiff is always fun, loads of different options no matter what part of the city you’re in.
As I’ve mentioned to you, I haven’t ever been to bottomless brunch but definitely need to now! I’d definitely visit these venues if I was nearby!
Aww totally. It’s a fab way to catch up with friends or family.
I must admit I’ve never had brunch before but really want to now. Amazing that so many places in Cardiff offer bottomless brunch. Love the look of the brunch options at the Grey Restaurant at Hilton Cardiff, you can’t beat a Welsh rarebit or Welsh breakfast.
Yes, Cardiff is full of places offering bottomless brunch! I think it’s pretty big in London too but it originated in Manhattan.
I love Las Iguanas and their cocktails (and mocktails) are amazing. Not sure I would last the afternoon after a bottomless brunch LOL
I’m not a big fan of chains but I don’t mind Las Iguanas so much 🙂
I adore Las Iguanas as they are always really helpful and supportive of my dietary needs. For a chain they do have some of the best gluten free options available.
That’s good to hear Laura. I’ve always noticed that their menus include more gluten-free restaurants than most restaurant menus I see.
I really enjoyed my meal with you at Grey’s but I must admit the Exchange Hotel brunch looks like the one I would try next. The lemon tart looks amazing. Pieminister looks tasty too, I adore their chicken pie.
Aww, thanks Mel – you were great company too! 😀 The Exchange Hotel’s bottomless brunch was probably favourite of the ones I tried too.
Turtle Bay is one that I am hoping to hit up next time I visit, it has been highly recommended.
I’m such a big Turtle Bay fan! They’re definitely one of my fave chains.
I’m all about bottomless brunches at the moment and these ones in Cardiff sound great, especially the Turtle Bay one x
I think the Turtle Bay brunch is great too – lovely alternative to a traditional English brunch.
