A modern kitchen with white wall art

Do you cook more from scratch while at home during lockdown? As a food blogger, I often cook meals using fresh ingredients, whether it’s for work or simply to feed myself. Throughout lockdown, however, I’ve begun cooking for myself more than ever.

And I’m not alone. Apparently, over one-fifth of us are now cooking every meal we eat from scratch, two-fifths of us enjoy cooking more then we did before lockdown and 89% of us are vowing to keep up our new culinary habits even after lockdown ends.

As we’re devoting much more time to cooking nowadays, you might be wondering how you can give your kitchen a much-needed refresh. One of the best ways to brighten up a kitchen – without having to make any majorly time-consuming or expensive changes – is to hang up some wall art. If you want an original piece rather than a print, SELECT, the online art gallery can make it easier to find contemporary art that adds personality to your kitchen.

Fine Art America (the world’s largest online art marketplace and print on-demand technology service) has created an entire range of wall art with your kitchen in mind. There are over 50 themed collections in Fine Art America’s kitchen wall art range.

Here are a few of my favourites; I’d be happy to hang these in my kitchen!

American Diner

If you’re looking to recreate that retro American diner look, you’ll love Fine Art America’s American Diner-inspired collection, featuring 15 different items of wall art.

I’d love one of the Heinz Tomato Ketchup canvases, or maybe an acrylic print of the old Tumble Inn Diner in Claremont, NH.

Shaken or Stirred?

While many of us will be enjoying getting busy in the kitchen over lockdown, some of us prefer to focus on what we can drink, as opposed to what we can eat. Homemade cocktails enjoyed a huge revival during the first UK lockdown, with quarantinis becoming the norm for Saturday nights.

If, like me, you’ve found a newfound love for cocktail-making during the lockdown, you’ll adore Fine Art America’a ‘Shaken or Stirred?’ wall art collection. And, with the recent sad news of Sean Connery’s passing, this would be a lovely way to pay homage to the legend who played British secret agent, James Bond for over 20 years.

Wine Cellar Paintings

Cocktails aren’t to everyone’s taste; some of us prefer wine. If this sounds like you, take a look at Fine Art America’s ‘Wine Cellar Paintings’ collection, consisting of over 30 different items including cork-covered canvas prints, traditional prints featuring all the usual suspects (think wine, cheese and grapes), framed prints (including some with wine-related quotes) and more.

Beach House Shell Fish

If you’ve got a seafood lover or keen fishermen in the house, or perhaps you’re just missing being at the beach, check out this nautical-themed ‘Beach House Shell Fish’ Collection.

Think seaside beach huts, marine life and fresh shellfish. Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

The Stinking Rose

As the name might suggest, The Stinking Rose collection is inspired by the wonder that is garlic – a staple ingredient in many of the meals we cook ‘from scratch’ from ourselves.

The collection features a variety of garlic-inspired wall art including art, canvas, metal, framed and acrylic prints. I particularly like Priska Wettstein’s ‘Garlic Cloves’ framed print.
