Sadly, WOW Deli has now closed down.
Situated near the top of Churchill Way, Cardiff, just off Queen Street, WOW Deli shares its home with popular gay club, WOW Bar and Lounge. Serving hot comfort food, freshly-made sandwiches, coffee and cold drinks from a small kitchen next to the main venue, the deli is known for its legendary wedge sandwiches.
Conveniently, the deli is just a short walk away from the office where I work, and on a few occasions over the past fortnight, my team have put in an order, and I just can’t help but get in on the action.

The second time we order from the deli, I go for the majority choice of a Full Welsh Breakfast (£5.50), boasting three sausages, three rashers of bacon, two eggs (fried or scrambled), beans or tomatoes and two thick slices of hot, buttery toast, served in a polysterene tray. What better way to get through a Saturday in work?

If, like me, you are limited for time on your lunch break, you can ring WOW Deli beforehand to place your order. But if you have time to spare, you could sit outside or take your food next door and eat it in the bar. As you can see from the prices of the food above, the value for money is pretty good. You can get a meal deal including a cold drink, sandwich and crisps for just £4.75, whereas students and 999 workers can save £1 on their order.
Pay WOW Deli a visit sometime and see for yourself how it lives up to its name!

That looks like a cool deli. I won’t for the pork products but the others are worth trying ;).
