Las Vegas recently got treated to a more unique arena in the form of The Sphere, located next to the Strip on Sands Avenue. Current shows include The Sphere Experience, which starts as soon as you enter the venue. This two-part, two-hour immersive show begins in the Atrium, with the aim of showing guests how technology can amplify our potential. Having fun at high altitude
There is another, less conventional way to see Las Vegas: from the clouds, via the Stratosphere Tower. Standing at 350m tall, this is Nevada’s tallest observation tower, looking out over the northern side of the Strip.
However, there is no such thing as a normal experience in Las Vegas; climbing the Stratosphere Tower is about more than simply admiring the view. At the top, you’ll find an adrenaline-rushing amusement park with attractions like Skyjump – which sees you skydive off the 108-storey tower wearing only a harness. Walking among sharks
Yet another record: inside the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip, you’ll find one of the largest aquarium tanks in the entire United States. Home to over 30 sharks, the Shark Reef Aquarium offers guests the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in an underwater world teeming with the ocean’s most captivating predators, by means of two underwater walkway tunnels.
Besides several different species of sharks, the aquarium is home to over 2,000 animals including giant rays, endangered green sea turtles, piranha, sawfish, piranhas, pufferfish, crocodiles, pythons, and monitor lizards. One of the highlights for many is the shipwreck exhibit, which guests can explore via a 360-degree acrylic tunnel surrounded by a serene, yet thrilling aquatic environment.
