101 Comments on Seen John Lewis’s Christmas advert? Now, WIN one of their hampers!

    • That is one of the best bits for me too. I still find it hard to switch off from social media over Xmas, but it is nice for work to die down for a few days.

  1. I love the day before.. the excitement builds and at the same time everyone is chill as there is no work/school the next day, just food food food and pressies

    • I know how you feel. I was surprised at how much I missed my family when I spent Christmas Day in Portugal last year.

    • I love thinking back to when I was a child at Christmas, and all the things I found magical about it – Christmas decorations, believing in Santa, getting to eat chocolate all day, seeing family who you don’t often get to see… I could go on and on!

  2. I love seeing my daughters face and how excited she gets at every part. The decorations, lights in the town, going to santas grotto, baking christmassy treats etc

  3. I love Christmas day, it’s the only day I really get to celebrate as it is my birthday too! Best bit is definitely after dinner, when we all spend time together, playing games, chatting and loving each other’s company. Can’t wait now! ?

  4. All of it as long as the people you love/friends/family etc but best bit is seeing my daughter open her presents xx

  5. Love having Christmas Dinner with family as I make a Christmas pudding every year and let the grandchildren stir in a very old sixpence dating back to 1906, this has been passed down through family, whoever finds sixpence receives a present from me and is exempt from washing up !

  6. I love coming downstairs with the kids to see if Santa has been, the moment before they start opening their presents is my favourite

    • That’s always lovely, I always used to look forward to it for that reason when I was studying at university.

  7. I love the dark nights, sparkly lights and warm cosy blankets at Xmas time. I’m a massive kid at Xmas and I love playing with daft gadgetsand helping the kids work out how to use their toys.

    • Sparkly lights are lovely, aren’t they?! I’ve got a prelit Christmas tree this year and I put it up today – it looks great, the lights are so pretty on it!

    • Oh yes, the food is a big part of it for me 😀 And I love getting to see my family, see friends who I don’t often see and take a break from work.

  8. Eating far too much ? & taking my 4 bassets out for long walks. It’s lovely and quiet over Christmas & you can always take a turkey sandwich!

    • Ooh, I wish I had some dogs to walk so I could burn off all the festive food I’ll be scoffing on over Christmas!

  9. What I love most is getting to spend some quality time with partner, weekends he is always rushing around trying to do jibs he can’t do midweek.

    • That must be a very rewarding experience. Good on you! I’m glad to hear that you all have a good time 🙂

    • Yes, I was in Portugal for Christmas Day last year and the beach was much quieter than it is in the Summer!

  10. I love spending time with my family and this year will be extra special as it’s my first as a Mummy. Noah will be 10 weeks on Christmas Day
