Going camping and connecting with nature is often at the top of our bucket list when picturing the perfect short getaway or weekend stay. If you’re lucky enough to live away from the hustle and bustle of a major city, then you’ll probably understand very well just why this is.
Falling asleep under the stars, or waking up in a beautiful field in the countryside, can make for a transformative experience. Most of the time, your camping experience hinges on the equipment you’ve brought with you. If you don’t pack the necessary equipment, you may not be able to make the most of the experience.
If you plan on going camping this year, read on to discover five must-have pieces of camping equipment you’ll probably need to invest in.
Water purifier
When it comes to drinking water when you’re out and about camping, you shouldn’t have to rely on the old-school methods to do so. Camping isn’t meant to be about roughing it as much as possible – you’re not Bear Grylls, and this isn’t a TV series!
While you could just pack a decent supply of clean drinking water, it may be cheaper in the long-run for you to invest in a good quality water purifier. Backcountry water is teeming with harmful microorganisms, and water purifiers are designed to remove these – including viruses. Not only is this a much safer option, but it can be far more convenient too.
Tent box
If you’ll be travelling by car but haven’t yet invested in a tent, or perhaps just need some extra sleeping space for your companions, consider using a Tent Box. If you’ll be on the road for a few weeks or more, and you want to be able to use your electrical devices as you go, then it might be wise to splash out on a solar-charging power bank.
Solar-powered generator
A solar powered generator is the perfect option for a weekend away camping. They’re easy to operate and they’ll help you to keep your devices fully charged, even if you’re in the middle of nowhere without access to a single power point.
The most vital aspect to consider when buying a solar-powered generator, is its capacity – you need to find one that’s big enough to handle your load.
Luxury camp chair
What better way to relax under the stars around a roaring fire than on a reclining luxury camp chair?
After going on a daylong hike, you’ve more than earned a super comfortable place to sit and relax. There are so many options to choose from, simply take your pick. Be on the lookout for ones made from lightweight materials. You must be able to carry it, but it must be able to hold your weight too.
Multi-tool
A good quality multi-tool is an absolute necessity for your camping trip! With a multitude of features jam-packed into one single tool, this nifty little gadget is a real blessing for any outdoor adventurer.
Your multi-tool could come in handy in ways that you may never have even imagined before, from fixing a broken zipper to crafting a fishing hook, for example.
Don’t ruin your camping trip by being unprepared. Camping equipment and gadgets exist for a reason – use them!
